The Power to WOW!

You're probably looking at this title and thinking I've made some sort of typographical error; possibly, you're worried I am having some kind of stroke.

Well, I didn't make an error, and if I'm having a stroke, I'm not aware of if yet.

What do I mean by the Power to Wow?

Have you ever met someone who has such an infectious outlook on life and living that it has changed your whole day?

Have you ever met someone who had the power to change your whole life?

I've been lucky in my life. I've met a couple of people like that, and I've read the books and listened to the audiocassette programs of some others. They have had the power to change my life, through just motivating me to sit back and go "WOW."

I bet you've had that "WOW" moment yourself. It may have come from a scoutmaster, or a youth leader, or a spouse. It may have come from a motivational speaker, or a president, or a church leader. It might have been caused by looking at your own life, or by listening to a friend. It might have been brought about by looking at nature around you, or by listening to the sounds the world has provided.

Whatever it came from, wherever you got it, you got WOWed.

As a motivator (and don't we all want to be motivators...either with other people or with ourselves) you have to create a feeling of WOW. First off, you create it within you. Then, you allow your listener to catch it from you. You get excited, they'll get excited. You smile, they'll smile. You move, they'll move.

You motivate by causing the very WOW situations that affect the lives of those people around you. "WOW!," the person says to herself, "This is really something."

Do you have anything that can WOW someone? If not, find something. If you do, use the talent you have.

WOW someone today. Even if that someone has to be yourself.
