THE POSITIVE PLACE. SALES MOTIVATION AND PERSONAL GROWTH

Happiness.

”My life has no purpose, no direction, no aim, no meaning, and yet I'm happy. I can't figure it out. What am I doing right?”

-- Snoopy

As the Christmas music blares on my Bluetooth speaker, I hear the strains of songs about happiness and joy.

We’re in the midst of a difficult economic climate, and for many people, challenges seem to persist. For some, this will be a bleak Christmas. For others, the latest of a string of bleak Christmases.

But even though economic crises may come and go -- and they will both come and go -- happiness and joy are not as much a matter of what you have, as they are of how you live.

I have known people who had a great deal of money, and yet they were miserable. I have known others who were of modest means, and yet they were very happy.

Happiness is not something that money can buy, even though Warren Buffett claims that those who say money can’t buy happiness just don’t know where to shop.

Happiness is something that comes from being at home with yourself; of making the most of your friendships and relationships; of seeking to be your best, and striving to attain those goals. Happiness is different to each person, but it’s rarely something that can be planned for, and often something that only comes as the result of doing something else.

Happiness is not a place on a map, but a state of mind.

Have a HAPPY holiday season, no matter how much or how little you may have this year.
