Are you a believer?
Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe in your company, your talents, your family, your education?
Do you believe you are capable of success?
What difference does it make if you believe? All the difference in the world!
Think of the institutions that inspire confidence in you. You might name doctors, or schools, or banks. All of them have a particular way they inspire confidence in you. They are molding your beliefs.
The money you have in your wallet has no intrinsic worth. It only has the worth that you believe it to have. The diploma you gain from a school has no worth itself -- it is only a means you use to encourage others to believe you have gained something from your education. Computer certification is the same thing -- it encourages companies to believe in you, when they have no other frame of reference. Some times, it may help you to believe in yourself.
Belief is the key here. Without the belief that is fostered by the institutions that we hold "sacred," the institutions themselves lose worth in our eyes. The institutions have not changed -- only your belief in them has changed. We call this "trust." Trust, then, is no more than belief in a company, individual, or some item.
Do you believe in yourself? Do you trust yourself?
If you don't believe that you are capable of accomplishing something, you're likely never going to do it. If you start it, you're probably not going to finish it. If you finish it, you likely won't believe in its worth. Belief becomes the major thing that matters here.
How do we generate a positive belief in ourselves? By doing positive things. We think positive thoughts. We ban negative thoughts and feelings from our lives. We work every hour of every day to build a foundation under our beliefs, through training, skill development and personal growth. We turn our positive beliefs into action.
